Sonic Summary
- We are seeking 3 Welders for a temporary position at a manufacturing company in Darlington.
- The role requires 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from Monday to Friday, and possible overtime on weekends.
- Candidates should have MIG or TIG welding experience and the ability to weld to automotive quality standards, with 2-3 years of experience preferred.
- Welders will be responsible for fitting and welding component parts while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- The salary for this position is competitive, and applicants must be willing to participate in a weld test.
37.5 hours per week, split over 2 shifts:
Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm
Monday-Thursday 2pm - 11:30pm (Friday off)
Overtime may be available Saturday and Sunday.
Welder requirements:
- MIG or TIG welding experience
- able to weld to automotive quality standard (2-3mm)
- Automotive background would be a benefit but is not required
Must be willing to participate in a weld test.
Key Responsibilities of the Welder:
To fit and weld component parts.
Working to weekly production schedules which may be demanding due to high volumes.
Be an active team player and be able to work within a larger team structure.
Must be flexible in working with other functions if required.
Make judgements and work on own initiative within agreed guidelines of work instructions.
Be active in assisting the working area in maintaining a safe, clean, efficient working area. Be supportive by sharing knowledge with colleagues in support of achieving best practice.
