This role is crucial in providing a positive, professional, and welcoming environment to all members of the school community. You will be instrumental in supporting the leadership and management of the school to ensure outstanding outcomes for pupils.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide an efficient and professional reception service, greeting visitors, staff, and pupils, ensuring compliance with school and safeguarding procedures.
  • Handle enquiries received in person, by phone, or via emails, responding to queries, relaying messages, and acting on instructions as needed, referring on where appropriate.
  • Prepare and distribute school correspondence as requested by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Work as part of the wider school business support team, carrying out administrative duties as required.
  • Manage financial transactions through ParentPay, liaising with parents regarding outstanding monies.
  • Assist with the organisation of school trips, providing administrative support to the Trip Leader and ensuring all required records and permission slips are in place.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring all correspondence is recorded and distributed appropriately.
  • Utilise various software tools such as Arbor, Google, Microsoft applications effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents, and visitors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong customer service ethos and the ability to manage conflicting demands.
  • Proficiency in using office software applications and systems.
  • Flexibility in working hours and location as required.
  • Confidence and resilience in working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
