Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to oversee Air, Sea and Road operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international shipment transits, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Air Imports:

• Coordinate inbound air freight shipments from international suppliers.
• Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
• Process and verify import documentation, including airway bills and customs declarations.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to clients and internal teams.
• Negotiate rates with airlines and freight forwarders to optimize costs.
• Analyise freight charges, fuel surcharges, and handling fees to ensure cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for route optimisation and consolidation to reduce expenses.

Air Exports:

• Manage outbound air freight shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
• Book cargo space with airlines and coordinate with freight forwarders.
• Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading and export permits.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and export control laws.
• Communicate with clients regarding shipment schedules and requirements.
• Arrange inbound air freight shipments from international suppliers.
• Select appropriate carriers based on cost, transit time, and reliability.
• Ensure timely booking and space allocation with airlines.

Ocean and Road Transport Operations:

• Plan and coordinate international road transport logistics.
• Work with carriers and transport providers to optimize delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with road transport regulations and safety standards.
• Liaise with shipping lines, ports and depots

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2+ UK years of experience in freight forwarding operations, (preferably multimodal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
