Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and talented Document Controller to join a project team which is made up of site operations and design team to set up, manage and maintain project document control systems.
What are we looking for
A experienced Document Controller, with a good understanding of electronic document management systems and a working knowledge of the Procore Document Management tool which has just been implemented by the business.
A Document Controller that has a strong knowledge of setting up and using electronic document management systems, knowledge in use of spreadsheets, database, word processing and selected job specific software.
Your day to day will include:
- Establish and maintain a systematic filing system for all project documentation.
- Ensure that all documents are reviewed, approved, and distributed according to company policies.
- Manage document revisions and ensure that the latest versions are available to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure completeness.
- Conduct regular audits of document control processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on document control procedures and systems.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to document management activities.
Ideally you will have but isn't essential for application:
- Experience of Procore software and a clear understanding of the workflow.
- Significant experience in the main contracting market with experience of working on schemes between £2 and £25 million.
Things you do need for this application:
- Transport. You will be expected to work across projects predominantly but will also work from the head office on occasions.
- Proven experience in document control or a similar administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with industry standards related to document control is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
