Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation in Dartford to recruit a Warehouse & Logistics Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role.

Roles & Responsibilities

Incoming / Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

  • Receiving and receipting of goods in a timely manner, ensuring correct recording and handling, including following safety and storage temperature requirements.
  • Sampling, inspection and documentation of received materials against established quality specifications, elevating discrepancies via the appropriate process.
  • Correct labelling of materials with material codes, batch, expiry date and status labels.
  • Maintain systems for tracking the progress of materials under inspection from receipt through to final release.
  • Proactively drive materials through the receipt, inspection and release process to meet expected time lines.

Warehouse

  • Timely and accurate processing of internal requisitions and packing pick lists, include physical movement of materials and SAP inventory movements.
  • Prompt quarantine of non-conforming or expired material, including labelling, segregation, and update of SAP.
  • Follow warehouse GMP to agreed standards across all warehouse locations.
  • Perform stock checks and cycle count activities as required, ensuring all counts are recorded accurately against the quantity of material present.
  • Complete and document all equipment safety checks before use, e.g. counterbalance, lifting equipment etc.

Logistics

  • Coordinate shipments and documentation with carriers, suppliers, brokers and
  • Prepare all shipments accurately with regard to quantity, labelling and packaging requirements.
  • Ensure an appropriate stock of packaging and other materials for shipping is maintained.

General

  • Follow all quality system procedures and maintain compliance and audit readiness.
  • Meet team and site business performance targets.
  • Follow all workplace and environmental procedures and practices.
  • Complete training on time against required due dates and only complete tasks where training has been successfully completed.
  • Notify direct line manager immediately of any non-conformances related to IQA, warehouse, logistics.
  • Complete documentation and records to a high standard and maintain filing and archiving to ensure all documentation is always readily available.

Skills

  • Fork lift licence/experience beneficial.
  • Competent in use of IT systems including email.
  • Good literacy and numeracy.
  • Right first time attitude and keen attention to detail, accurate data recording and entry.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Team player.
  • Approach the role flexibly.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the role (lift up to 16kg unaided).
