- Base location: South London Area - Darenth (DA2 7SR)
- Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours Per Week (Mon-Fri) plus a standby rota.
- Candidates must have a full, valid UK driving license as travelling to other sites and the field will be required.
- Responsible for operational and maintenance delivery through the effective leadership and direction of resources to achieve set performance and expenditure targets, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Lead a multi-disciplined team delivering planned and defective maintenance for approximately 300 pumping stations across the South London Area.
- Lead, Coach, and develop people to fulfil the business needs.
- Champion change through a passion for continuous improvement, promoting best practice ways of working, and sharing local knowledge.
- Manage, control, and report on an assigned budget, including contributing to budgetary planning to ensure that financial targets are met.
- Assist with developing risk assessment and Safe Systems of Work (SHE4) for complex work activities.
- Conduct health and safety and audits and adherence to health and safety policies, and a clear commitment to continuously improving the health and safety of our people and sites.
- Previous experience leading a high-performing operational team
- Excellent people and performance management skills
- Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation is essential
- Demonstrate a good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with your field-based colleagues and key stakeholders
- Possess strong IT literacy skills, as well as knowledge of SAP systems
- Existing knowledge and experience of working within the Wastewater industry is desirable
