Mechanical Design Engineer

THE ROLE -

• Liaising with various teams within the company
• Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.
• Modify and up-issue existing drawings.
• Compiling design documentation.
• Creating a BOM
• Occasional site visits will be required

Role and responsibilities: Mechanical Design Engineer

• Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.
• Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,
• A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage
• 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.
• Experience of core Microsoft office applications ie Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.

Personal Requirements - Mechanical Design Engineer

• Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design beneficial, but not essential.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanour and clear thinking, with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, dealing with other employees and external clients.
• Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail
