Our client,a leader in the faade and cladding industry, is seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join theirdynamic team. About the Role
This is a senior position requiring an expert who can take full commercial ownership of large-scale, complex cladding and faade projects from tender stage through to final account. Your specialist knowledge of cladding systems is essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor with Hamilton First, you will:

Commercial Management: Oversee all commercial aspects of multiple cladding and faade projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and meet profitability targets.

Contract Administration: Manage all contractual matters, including review and negotiation of terms, conditions, and variations (EOTs and CVOs) under standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).

Procurement: Lead the procurement process for all materials, subcontractors, and suppliers specifically related to cladding systems, ensuring value for money and quality.

Cost Control & Reporting: Prepare detailed cost value reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, budget tracking, and regular financial reports for senior management.

Valuations and Payments: Prepare and agree monthly valuations with clients and process subcontractor payments, ensuring timely and accurate cash flow.

Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with faade projects, particularly those related to material specification and regulatory compliance.

Final Account: Lead the negotiation and settlement of final accounts with both clients and subcontractors.
What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a significant track record at a Senior level within the cladding or faade sector.

Extensive, verifiable knowledge of different cladding systems and materials.

Expert knowledge of relevant construction contracts (JCT, NEC).

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
