A fantastic opportunity to work in the UK’s industry-leading independent fire and security specialist company, they are renowned for their expertise in design, supply and installation. My client is looking for a Control Room Operator to join their team at their remote monitoring centre in Blackburn.
Package
£26,666 (rising to £27,452 after successful completion of probation)
Full time | 4 shifts on / 4 shifts off (42 hour week 12 hour shifts) | training and development programmes | generous leave allowance | company pension | Mediash health plan
Main Responsibilities
- Managing controlled access to client sites using advanced Video Management Systems
- Monitoring and responding to electronic alarm signals promptly and professionally
- Delivering excellent customer care through clear and courteous telephone communication
- Liaising with emergency services when required, following strict operational protocols
- Producing clear, accurate, and timely written reports
- Working within a disciplined team environment with a focus on security and service excellence
Knowledge and Experience
- A valid SIA CCTV License (Level 2 in CCTV Operations) Essential
- Must be 18 years or older Essential
- Prior experience in CCTV monitoring and a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- The ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations
- A flexible approach to shifts (including nights and weekends)
- Professionalism, accuracy in reporting, and a commitment to customer service excellence
