A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading business based in Darwen as an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer. Shift Pattern: Double Days (6-2, 2-10) Alternating Bi-Weekly
What you'll do...
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and support production targets
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks including work on hydraulics, pneumatics and general facility maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the maintenance management system
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support engineering projects with a forward-thinking mindset
About you...
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND) in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for improvement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime
