Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Classroom & 1:1 Support

Job Description:
Veritas Education is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Darwen. These roles involve a mix of classroom-based support and 1:1 work with pupils, including those with additional needs. Opportunities are available for both day-to-day supply and long-term contracts, offering flexibility and variety to suit your availability and career goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils who may need additional help with learning or behaviour
- Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment
- Encourage pupil participation and independence
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to support individual learning plans
- Contribute to the emotional and social development of pupils
What We're Looking For:
- A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 or 2
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in helping children succeed
