Quality Engineer - 12 month fixed term contract

North Wales based Manufacturer

We represent a long-established North Wales based manufacturing business, who design and manufacture an impressive range of premium quality, safety critical products.

They seek to recruit a Quality Engineer on a 12-month, fixed term contract, to focus on plant quality process improvement and defect reduction, whilst ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Working closely with R&D, production and purchasing departments, the quality engineer with conduct RCA activities, and implement robust corrective actions, working closely with production to coach on quality procedures and defect identification. Theyll also work on SQA projects, internal defect and scrap reduction projects, and be involved in process audits internally and with suppliers.

Key skills

  • Apprentice trained or HNC/HND/degree educated Engineer
  • Experience in a similar quality engineering role in a mechanically biased assembly setting
  • Good knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP and SPC
  • Familiarity with GD&T and metrology techniques preferred
  • Good knowledge of ISO standards, and preference for experience with AS9100 or IATF16949 standards
