Teaching Assistants (General & SEN) - Primary School - Deptford
Location: Deptford, South East London
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available
Position Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: 100-120 per day (depending on experience)
A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Deptford is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team. We are recruiting for both SEN (Special Educational Needs) and general classroom support roles, with opportunities available across all key stages (EYFS, KS1, and KS2).
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners. Whether you are an experienced TA or looking to gain school-based experience before training to teach, we want to hear from you.
The Role:
- Work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs (SEN roles)
- Assist in preparing learning resources and classroom displays
- Support behaviour management and encourage positive interactions
- Help create an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- A patient, proactive, and caring approach to working with children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- For SEN roles, experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs is highly desirable
