This is your opportunity to embed best practice across water infrastructure projects, support operational excellence, and lead on quality from site to boardroom.As a Quality Advisor operating across the Severn Trent Water region, you'll join a forward-thinking SHEQ team with a strong reputation for delivery and integrity. From day one, you’ll take the lead in promoting and embedding high-quality standards across complex civil and MEICA projects — ensuring that installations meet the exacting standards required in the utilities and environmental engineering sectors.The RoleAs Quality Advisor, you’ll report to the Regional Head of SHEQ and work closely with delivery teams across multiple sites. Your day-to-day will include auditing, advising, coaching and collaborating. You’ll maintain the internal quality audit programme, carry out investigations, support with document control, and provide practical support to ensure works meet client and internal quality standards.The role also involves contributing to the management and development of the Integrated Management System (IMS), leading root cause analyses, supporting training delivery, and helping ensure continuous improvement across all areas of project execution. You’ll be both a hands-on site presence and a strategic contributor — driving excellence at every level.This is a regionally mobile role, offering variety, ownership, and the chance to make a visible impact on project outcomes and business performance.QualificationsTo succeed as a Quality Advisor, you’ll ideally bring:
  • Internal Quality Management Systems Auditor (e.g. IRCA) certification
  • Relevant HNC/HND or equivalent qualification (engineering or construction-related)
  • PCQI or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor status (advantageous)
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
Experience RequiredWe’re looking for a Quality Advisor with:
  • Previous experience in a quality role within a construction or utilities environment
  • Strong working knowledge of audit processes, compliance and document control
  • Understanding of quality in relation to civil engineering, MEICA or water infrastructure
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience supporting the delivery of site-based projects in a regulated industry
