Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Littleover, Derby
Salary Range: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

An inviting and supportive primary school in Littleover is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. If you love working with young children and want to make a real impact during their most formative years, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities within the EYFS curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, encouraging development in key areas such as communication, social skills, and early numeracy/literacy.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with personal care routines and transitions throughout the day.
- Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to support each child’s development.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
- A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Early Years) is desirable.
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
- A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
