We are seeking a skilled and motivated dispatch operator to join our clients experienced logistics team based on the outskirts of Derby. The ideal candidate will play an important role in ensuring the efficient coordination of shipments and deliveries. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, with IT skills. As a Dispatch Operator, you will cooperate with Sales, Finance, QA and Production departments, and report into the Dispatch Manager. This role is considered as very progressive as right candidate will take over supervision over all department.
Duties
- Packing orders
- Dispatching orders
- Dealing with couriers and freight forwarders
- Dealing with goods out / in
- Quality check using WMS
- Stock Control
- General warehouse duties
- Data entry on in house stock management system
Requirements
We would anticipate the successful candidate to havemin 2years experience in a similar role, proficient with computers, with attention to detail and able to quality check and pack & label in and efficient and accurate manner. Knowledge of logistics/supply chain management advantageous.
Day Shift- Monday to Thursday 8-5 pm, Friday 8-2.30 pm.
Rate 12.75 ph + enhanced overtime rates
- Company bonus scheme
- Weekly pay (1 week in arrears)
- Temp to perm (16 weeks with the agency and then contract)
