Offering nationwide coverage, they work with some of the largest Blue-Chip names within commerce and industry.
Due to continued growth and a plan to create a specific division for the “Wet Work” on projects – Plumbing, drainage, construction work where water is commonly used or where there’s a risk of water damage. This expansion requires an additional Estimator to join an established team.
The Role
- Working within an established team in a fast-paced environment, estimating for tenders from predesigned and Design & Build projects, ranging from £500k to £1million.
- Evaluate drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates for projects.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids to potential clients.
- Meet with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss the scope of work.
- Calculate heating and cooling needs for client spaces.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions that meet budget and performance objectives.
- Involvement in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and presentation meetings as requested.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure a clear line of communication.
- Document and manage changes and ensure these are communicated to involved stakeholders.
The PersonIn order to be considered you’ll need a few things in your locker:
- Extensive experience as an Estimator within a similar industry. Not necessarily HVAC, although that would be useful, but construction and D&B type environments.
- An ability to accurately estimate costs and resources required and provide this data in an understandable and accurate manner.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with a passion for seeing things through.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, and solid IT skills to create and record the estimates.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and via the written word, along with the ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues and customer contracts.
PLEASE NOTE -
This role would NOT suit a recent graduate without extensive, real-world experience in a similar role.
Also, we are not considering applications form outside of a reasonable commute to the site in Leicester. Therefore, you must ALREADY be within a sustainable commute WITHOUT having to relocate.
