SF Recruitment are looking for a Temporary Credit Control Assistant to join a busy public sector business based in Central Derby. The business offers hybrid working, typically 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Hybrid working: 2 days in office per week Length: 6 months Salary: £25,300 Duties: - Credit control overdue debt by following up on overdue payments and - Ensure all statements are issued out in accordance with the SLA and organisational requirements - Assist with preparation of files to third party solicitors when the organisation has been unsuccessful in obtaining payment - Assist with ensuring that all Direct Debits are collected on time and posted to the - ledger - Assist with the cash posting - To provide ad hoc support to the wider organisation as required - Ensure financial controls and processes adhere to organisational policies for - accountable areas - Manage the development, documentation and maintenance of transactional process documentation - Discuss any process improvements with the Credit Controller, to help strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the team - Work the credit control inbox to ensure that all questions and queries are resolved in a timely manner to prevent escalation to senior management - Support the Credit Controller to deliver any audit requirements and provide information to the Financial Accounts team as requested This role is suited to someone who can hit the ground running, is self-motivated, can remain calm under pressure and who is comfortable having difficult conversations with a variety of people.
