The Role:We are looking for an engaging and knowledgeable German Teacher to deliver high-quality MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4. This temporary role offers the potential to become permanent and would suit an individual who is passionate about teaching and committed to raising achievement in modern languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging German lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

  • Track, assess, and report on student progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.

  • Contribute to the MFL department's development through collaborative planning and resource sharing.

Minimum Requirements:To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience teaching German in a UK secondary school, ideally including experience preparing students for GCSE examinations.

  • Qualifications: A degree in German or a related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: A solid understanding of MFL pedagogy, differentiation, and classroom behaviour management.

  • Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire learners.

DBS Check:All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service.
