- Support by sharing agreed objectives on EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery and participating in the Operational Control model.
- Participate in the Daily Operations meeting, taking ownership of problems assigned to the TL function for resolution.
- Understand the process constraints and operating rules of the value stream covered in the TL role and participate in problem-solving exercises to improve flow where relevant.
- Manage throughput of work in priority order to deliver our OTIF target
- Ensure planned times are accurate and that team members are competing work within time allocated
- Maintain an efficient system to control the maintenance and storage / replenishment of tooling
- Carry out sheet metalwork operations to produce conforming parts
- Provide input including method and cycle times for new quotations when required
- Lead / support the development of efficient methods of manufacture and tooling for NPDI and existing work
- Lead the weekly Gemba meeting in line with standard format ensuring communication of relevant SQCDP metrics.
- Apply problem-solving methodologies to define and solve problems at root cause as a method of improving operational performance, in particular on process capability and quality problems.
- Previous experience of working in a highly regulated industry (Aerospace preferably)
- Proven experience and ability to manage a team.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
