They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their growing team.   • Support by sharing agreed objectives on EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery and participating in the Operational Control model.
  • Participate in the Daily Operations meeting, taking ownership of problems assigned to the TL function for resolution.
  • Understand the process constraints and operating rules of the value stream covered in the TL role and participate in problem-solving exercises to improve flow where relevant.
  • Manage throughput of work in priority order to deliver our OTIF target
  • Ensure planned times are accurate and that team members are competing work within time allocated
  • Maintain an efficient system to control the maintenance and storage / replenishment of tooling
  • Carry out sheet metalwork operations to produce conforming parts
  • Provide input including method and cycle times for new quotations when required
  • Lead / support the development of efficient methods of manufacture and tooling for NPDI and existing work
  • Lead the weekly Gemba meeting in line with standard format ensuring communication of relevant SQCDP metrics.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies to define and solve problems at root cause as a method of improving operational performance, in particular on process capability and quality problems.
Manufacturing Team LeaderEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Previous experience of working in a highly regulated industry (Aerospace preferably)
  • Proven experience and ability to manage a team.
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
