We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Derby

About the Role:

Whether you have experience in a school setting or have worked with young people in another sector, your enthusiasm and resilience will be key in helping pupils succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children during lessons and school activities
  • Assisting staff and children during lunch and break times
  • Managing pupils' personalised learning based on individual needs
  • Helping young people with their daily care requirements
  • Working with a variety of SEND and Mental Health needs
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities to support learning
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to aid assessment
  • Being an active part of the school team and wider school community

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Ability to work with children with behavioural difficulties
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • A desire to inspire and support children
  • An interest in supporting young people with SEND
  • High levels of care and resilience
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable, but not essential)
  • Ability to supply teaching references
