Technical Customer Relationship Manager (TCRM)
Location: Derby-based with global travel
Contract: 6–9 Months
Rate: £500–£600 per day
Travel: Up to 35% international

As a Technical Customer Relationship Manager (TCRM), you’ll be the trusted partner for key clients across international markets — driving service excellence, contract performance, and long-term customer success.
The Role
You’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of global customers, ensuring their needs are met with precision, care, and technical insight. Collaborating with service professionals, engineers, and customer success teams, you’ll lead the delivery of tailored service strategies across regions — covering acoustic and vision monitoring systems, infrastructure, and engineering support.
This is a high-impact role that blends relationship management, operational leadership, and strategic thinking. You’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves when needed, applying your engineering know-how to real-world challenges while also influencing senior stakeholders and driving service performance across the board.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned global customers
- Develop and implement service strategies tailored to regional and customer-specific needs
- React swiftly to on-site issues, coordinating technical support and resolution
- Manage service contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics to ensure delivery excellence
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions
- Champion customer concerns internally and externally, ensuring timely resolution
- Drive cost efficiency and revenue growth across your portfolio
- Identify trends and opportunities for digital transformation and service improvement
- Support proposal development, contract renewals, and strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 5–10 years’ experience in customer-facing technical roles
- Strong engineering foundation — ideally having worked “on the tools” before progressing into customer and contract management
- Comfortable engaging with both shop floor teams and senior stakeholders
- Proven success managing complex service contracts and customer relationships
- Experience in rail or industrial sectors is highly desirable
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 35%
