The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and committed Geography Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students at KS3 and KS4. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent, and would suit an individual with a strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Geography relevant and inspiring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing effective interventions.

  • Participate in departmental planning and contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum.

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of teaching Geography in a UK secondary school, with experience teaching to GCSE level.

  • Qualifications: A degree in Geography or a related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: Sound understanding of curriculum planning, classroom management, and safeguarding.

  • Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and a passion for geographical education.

DBS Check:
