The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and reflective RE Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This temporary role has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for a teacher who can promote open-mindedness, empathy, and curiosity through Religious Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons that follow the national curriculum and promote respectful dialogue.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1–2 years of teaching RE in a UK secondary school, ideally up to GCSE level.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or Philosophy, plus UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: Knowledge of the RE curriculum, safeguarding procedures, and effective classroom management strategies.

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire respectful discussion and engagement.

DBS Check:

All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) if not already registered with the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
