Bennett and Game are currently working with one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies to source a skilled and proven Mobile Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to work out of their Derby location.
Our client work in multiple sectors with complete UK wide coverage. They have won and extended major contracts and due to this expansion, they now require skilled a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join their business.
Mobile Plant Fitter Overview
- Traveling to sites to perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Tack Coat sprayers & specialist plant equipment.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults effectively and efficiently.
- Carrying out necessary repairs and replacements, ensuring equipment is operating to optimal performance and safety standards.
- Completing accurate service reports and documentation.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining and managing your company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
Mobile Plant Fitter Requirements
- Proven working ability in a Plant Mechanic role.
- Experience in tack coat / spraying equipment is Highley desirable
- Ideally hold an NVQ in relevant engineering discipline
- Flexible approach to working hours and conditions - early mornings/late finishes - to ensure fleet is in fit/serviceable condition
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostic and repair skills.
- Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
Mobile Plant Fitter Salary & Package
- Salary - 190 - 200 day rate
- 5x overtime (Saturday) 2x overtime (Sunday)
- Monday to Friday (50-hour week)
