  • TaxandTaxefficientWills
  • Probateandestateadministration
  • LPAs
  • LifeTimeTaxPlanning

  • IPFDClaims
  • Trusts

FileManagement:

YouwillberesponsibleforthemaintenanceofWIPatorbelowtargetlevel.

Allfilingistobekeptuptodateandinorder,incompliancewiththeLexcelpracticemanagementstandards.

Youwillberesponsibleformaintainingyoursectionofthediaryofkeyevents.

Targets:

ClientDevelopmentandMarketing:

TobeactiveinpromotingtheservicesofthefirmandtheALE(AgricultureandLandedEstates)team,itsimageandethos(inliaisonwiththeTeamLeader)throughlocalmarketingactivitiese.g.forums,tradegroups,professionalbodiesetc.

Management:

  • Supervisionofasecretary.
  • Potentialsupervisionofatrainee.
  • ProvidinginputanddirectiontothePartnersasrequiredconcerningthemanagementoftheteam.

PersonSpecification:

Experienceandknowledge:

  • 5-7yearspostqualificationexperience
  • IndepthexperienceandunderstandingofInheritanceTaxandCapitalGainsTaxplanninginthecontextofindividualsandtrustswithemphasisonfamilybusinesses,landedestatesandfarmingenterprisesandknowledgeofothertaxesrelevanttotheseareas(otherthanVAT)andkeeninterestinexpandingexperienceandknowledgeintheseareas.
  • Indepthunderstandingoftheuseoftrustsandsettlementswithintaxplanningandassetprotection
  • Abilitytodraftrelatedbespokedocumentsandasignificantenjoymentofthisaspectofthework
  • An'expert'inmattersoftaxefficiencyandplanningandtheuseoftrusts,andarealpassiontoworkinthisareaofthelaw.
  • Experienceofmanagingownworkloadeffectively,particularlyinapressurisedenvironment
  • Strongorganisationalskills

ProfessionalQualifications:

Atleastadegreeof2:1orevidenceofasimilarability

RecognisedprofessionalqualificationasaSolicitorentitlingtherole-holdertopracticeinEngland&Wales.

Currentpractisingcertificate(orentitlementtoobtainone)fromtheLawSociety

Evidenceofcontinuingprofessionaldevelopmentintheareasofexpertiseoutlinedabove.
