Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are looking for a temporary bookkeeper to join a Harwell based  dynamic Finance Team. This temporary position is offered for a six-month term to support the implementation of a new, group-wide ERP system. This is a hands-on operational role covering transactional accounting reporting to the Finance Manager. They are open to either part time or full time and looking to pay an hourly rate of up to £16.63per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly payment runs, handling multiple currencies and bank accounts.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for 5 bank accounts.
  • Assist with month-end reporting.
  • Handle VAT returns.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • AAT or similar qualification, or demonstrable equivalent technical knowledge.
  • Strong IT skills and a keen interest in innovating within a paperless, remote-first environment.
  • Keen eye for detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Appreciation for working in a value-adding team to achieve shared objectives.
