Job Title: HGV/PSV Engineer
Location: Didcot
Salary: 25 p/h per hour (Monday to Friday) and 28.75 (Weekends)
Hours: 40-50 hours per week (4 on - 4 off - 5am - 5pm)
Alecto Recruitment are working with our client in finding a highly motivated and skilled HGV/PSV Engineer to join their dedicated Engineering team. This is a key role involving the inspection, diagnosis, and quality repair of their fleet of company vehicles, ensuring all work meets Company and Department for Transport standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and carry out effective repairs to our vehicle fleet
- Ensure all work complies with safety and operational standards
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and quality in all tasks
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure efficient fleet operations
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)
- Experience working with PCV or HGV vehicles (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- PCV licence (desirable)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
