D365FO Support Consultant - Yorkshire - £55k

Nigel Frank are seeking a skilled and proactive Applications Support Specialist to join a well established manufacturing business in the Yorkshire area. This role focuses on supporting a hybrid Microsoft D365FO environment and associated production systems, while also contributing to D365FO-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a flexible, hybrid working model with an on site expectation of 2 to 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for business-critical applications including d365fo, PTS, PPMS, D365, and BI platforms.
  • Collaborate on and lead D365FO-focused projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Support the ongoing deployment and optimisation of Microsoft-based solutions.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users to encourage adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Assist in prioritising application support tasks in alignment with business needs.
  • Work closely with finance to align IT support with business objectives and assist with budgeting.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure the stability and performance of production systems.
  • Ensure applications are secure, up to date, and optimised for maximum up time.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, SCM, WMS), AX2012, and related modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing)
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, including incident tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution documentation
  • Strong analytical mindset to diagnose complex issues and identify long-term solutions.
  • Experience managing or contributing to application-related projects, including testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
