Project Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Office-based (Sheffield) with travel to sites across the UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Our client a leading specialist in structural engineering solutions, is seeking a career-driven Project Engineer / Project Manager to their our Infrastructure Services Department. With over 40 years of experience in bridge bearings, expansion joints, and waterproofing systems, they are trusted nationwide, for delivering bespoke engineering products and services on major infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to grow their career with a dynamic, expanding company in the civil engineering construction sector. The role offers the chance to manage a variety of projects across the UK while developing your skills within a supportive and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Liaise directly with clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality outcomes
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with budgets, timescales, and quality standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar project management role
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project delivery
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel and occasional flexibility in working hours
  • Proactive, motivated, and team-oriented attitude
