Freelance Quantity Surveyor - Doncaster - Groundworkers
PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a Groundworkers client in the Doncaster regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Full commercial management of groundworks packages from initial procurement through to final account.
Procure and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure best value and ensure alignment with programme and quality standards.
Manage subcontractor accounts, review applications, issue payment/pay less notices, and ensure contractual compliance.
Value and agree variations accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining cost control across the delivery phase.
Produce detailed cost-to-complete forecasts and update cost value reconciliations (CVRs) for internal reporting.
Report commercial performance and risk to senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, particularly groundworks.
Strong knowledge of NEC or similar contracts.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple subcontractors, and communicate effectively across teams.
Immediate or short notice availability is preferred.
