Software Tester (Mobile & Web Applications)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our team and ensure the quality, usability, and performance of our software products. You will be responsible for testing our mobile applications (iOS and Android), web-based admin portal, and reporting systems. Additionally, you will monitor live operations to ensure system stability and a great user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document test cases for mobile apps, websites, and reporting features.
- Conduct functional, regression, UI/UX, and compatibility testing across multiple devices and browsers.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Perform end-to-end testing of user flows across mobile and web platforms.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in release cycles, verifying bug fixes and ensuring successful deployments.
- Monitor live operations, proactively identifying issues in production environments.
- Assist in maintaining and improving automated test suites where applicable.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and development processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Tester, QA Engineer, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Experience testing web applications, including cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing practices.
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Postman, or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release management.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and monitoring tools.
- Basic understanding of SQL for database validation
- Understanding of API testing and backend validation
