We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to EYFS children with high-level and complex additional needs. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children requiring additional support.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide individualised support to EYFS children, focusing on their specific educational and developmental needs.
- Work closely with educational staff to implement and adapt learning activities that cater to the child's abilities and challenges.
- Use BSL/Makaton and other communication tools to enhance student interaction and engagement.
- Regularly assess the child's progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages all children to thrive.
- At least 1 year of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience working with children with additional needs.
- Proficiency or strong familiarity with BSL/Makaton; highly desirable.
- Understanding of the educational challenges faced by children with communication and interaction needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
