We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to EYFS children with high-level and complex additional needs. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children requiring additional support.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide individualised support to EYFS children, focusing on their specific educational and developmental needs.
Work closely with educational staff to implement and adapt learning activities that cater to the child's abilities and challenges.
Use BSL/Makaton and other communication tools to enhance student interaction and engagement.
Regularly assess the child's progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages all children to thrive.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience working with children with additional needs.
Proficiency or strong familiarity with BSL/Makaton; highly desirable.
Understanding of the educational challenges faced by children with communication and interaction needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to educational support.
