Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Primary Teacher from September to take full responsibility for a mixed Year 4/5/6 class. This position is in a small, friendly primary school with a strong community ethos, a positive reputation locally and a good Ofsted Rating.

The Year 4/5/6 class has just 15 children, offering the opportunity to develop strong relationships and deliver truly personalised learning. The class includes one child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who is pre-verbal and supported by an experienced full-time 1:1 teaching assistant. As the class teacher, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, assessing and marking across all subjects, supported by an approachable and collaborative staff team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge and rewards of teaching in a mixed-age class. We are looking for a confident classroom practitioner who can create a calm, engaging and purposeful learning environment, and who is committed to supporting the needs of all learners. Above all, we are looking for a teacher who is passionate about making a difference and committed to helping every child thrive.

Requirements

  • QTS
  • Experience in teaching KS2 with at least 2 years of experience
  • Experience working with SEND pupils or in small schools is desirable but not essential.
