Teacher of Design & Technology (DT) - Dover

Academics have been approached by a "Good" secondary school in Dover, to support them in finding an inspirational, well-qualified and highly motivated Teacher of Design & Technology to work within their talented and successful Technology team. This department is one of our highest achieving faculties in the school and they hope to appoint someone who is ambitious and as committed, to creative and compelling teaching.

This role is suited for an ECT or more experienced teacher. Some knowledge of the following topics will be beneficial:

  • Electronic Products
  • Food Technology
  • Graphic Products
  • Resistant Materials
  • Systems and Control
  • Textiles Technology
  • Product Design

The successful candidate will:

  • hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, GTP)
  • Be a strong classroom teacher with a real commitment to high quality teaching and learning.
  • Be able to enthuse, engage and motivate students
  • Be a reflective practitioner and always be willing to improve
  • Be a strong team player
  • Be willing to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the school
