GSL  is recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who is able to teach pupils with profound multiple learning difficulties. The staff team here are extremely talented and skilled, and driven in wanting to give their learners access to the best opportunities possible for now, as well as later life. The Special Needs Teaching assistant will be asked to teach PMLD learners across KS1 & KS2. If you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about supporting children with SEN, this may be the perfect role for you!
The ideal candidate will have:
- SEN or Early Years teaching experience whether through placement, in mainstream or special need school settings
- Availability for immediate daily cover/full time work 8:30am-3:45pm Monday to Friday, with a 15-minute morning break and 30 minute lunch break for support staff.
- A positive and nurturing approach to education support
- Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa
- PECS and Makaton (Desirable but not essential)
- Local to Brentford Hounslow area
The role would include:
- Supporting pupils throughout the school day
- Holding 1:1 or small group sessions
- Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
- Maintaining high levels of health and safety with the pupils
