We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant in the Dover area to provide essential support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other learning challenges. Learning Support AssistantKey Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers to adapt lessons, provide targeted one-to-one or small group support, and promote pupil engagement and independence. You will help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with behaviour management
  • Emotional regulation
  • Social skills development
  • Observing and reporting on pupil progress.

Experience working with children with SEND is desirable, along with a patient, caring, and flexible approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals are essential.
