We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to fabricate high-quality components from sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various hand tools. Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines to produce precision components from sheet metal.
- Fabricate parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools and tooling equipment for assembly and finishing processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Grind and clean edges of cut materials to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements and material requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding processes and techniques is an advantage.
- Proficient in using hand tools and tooling equipment effectively.
- Experience in fabricating components from sheet metal is desirable.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
