Senior Town Planner
Location: Dublin

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their growing planning team based in either Cork or Dublin.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy known for its technical excellence and collaborative culture. With a varied portfolio that includes renewable energy, infrastructure, residential and commercial developments, this role is ideal for a Senior Town Planner looking to work on some of Ireland's most significant and forward-thinking projects.



What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will lead and support planning projects from inception to approval. You'll work closely with both public and private sector clients, offering expert guidance on planning strategy, policy, and regulatory processes. This role will see you managing planning applications, conducting planning appraisals, preparing EIARs, and liaising with clients, consultants, and authorities.



What we're looking for:

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Planning or a related discipline

  • Full membership of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in planning (consultancy experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation and policy

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills

  • A proactive and commercially minded attitude
