Location: Tividale
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:15am–4:30pm | Friday 7:15am–12:15pm

The Role
We’re seeking a hands-on CAD Engineer to join their manufacturing team. This position involves creating and adapting technical drawings for CNC production — including waterjet and router cutting — and ensuring designs are accurately translated into high-quality finished products. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys being involved from design through to production testing, not just desk-based CAD work.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and adapt CAD drawings for CNC cutting (waterjet and router).
- Convert technical drawings into precise cutting programs.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to test and verify finished products.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing, performance, and quality standards.
- Manage version control and maintain design accuracy.
- Work with SolidWorks, AlfaCAM, or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Understand material properties and manufacturing processes.
About You
- Proven experience as a CAD Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in SolidWorks, AlfaCAM, or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of CNC cutting and machining processes.
- Practical, hands-on approach with willingness to test and refine designs.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
