Are you a patient, calm and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Dudley, working with primary-aged pupils with moderate and complex learning and communication needs.

About the Role:

  • Support pupils with varying SEND needs, helping them to engage, learn and develop

  • Work closely with class teachers and families to ensure consistent support

  • Adapt activities and communication methods to suit individual learners

  • Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  • Use initiative and respond calmly and confidently to daily challenges

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 3 months’ experience in a similar SEND or specialist school environment

  • Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with moderate/complex learning and communication needs

  • Experience with SEN strategies is beneficial

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships

  • A patient, empathetic and flexible approach

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – desirable but not essential
