On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy process equipment such as slitting and recoiling machines within a close-knit, multi-skilled crew. You will ensure machinery runs at peak performance through both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, playing a vital role in the operation of this high-capacity steel processing facility.

In this role, you will carry out routine mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, breakdown repairs, and work to manufacturer manuals and drawings. You'll also need the ability to perform basic electrical fault finding, supporting heavy engineering equipment that incorporates electrical components. You'll work a two-shift rotation 6am to 2pm and 2pm to midnight with some overtime and weekend shifts to keep the site running smoothly. . You will be expected to bring your own hand tools and demonstrate a broad skillset including fitting, machining, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general assembly.
