Sonic Summary
- We are seeking skilled HGV Technicians with previous experience for our busy workshops.
- The role involves MOT preparation, vehicle diagnostics, and service maintenance of HGVs and trailers.
- Candidates must hold a Level 3 NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
- The position requires a driving license, and an HGV 1 license is preferred but not mandatory.
- The salary starts at £39,520, with a typical workweek of 47.5 hours and overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
Duties:
Must be conversant with current working methods, including:
* MOT Preparation
* Vehicle and Trailer diagnostics
* Carrying out service and maintenance of predominantly HGV but also Trailers and LGV as per depot procedures
* Experience of onsite inspections and attending breakdowns preferable
* Complete job sheets and inspection sheets with full write up of tasks completed
Required Certification & Experience:
* Level 3 NVQ / City and Guilds 1,2,3 Qualification or equivalent in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
* Driving Licence
* HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential
Hours : Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00, with alternate Saturdays 07:00-12:00 (47.5 hours with 30 mins unpaid lunch break) Overtime paid at 1.5 (any hours over 47.5 i.e the alternate Saturdays and anything additional)
Salary: 39,520+
