Interquest have an urgent need for an experienced Head of Revenues and Benefits for a leading Local Authority. Your role will be the strategic & operational lead for all the main strands of income collection such as Council Tax, Business Rates and debts owed to the Council, and the administration of statutory and Council welfare benefits to its residents, maximising efficiency, and a high-quality resident experience. To support the design and implementation of the new Tackling Inequality model, own and lead the implementation of the council’s Ethical Debt Collection Policy, and find innovative ways to prevent resident debt, tackle it early, make it easy to pay, and ensure that residents struggling financially receive timely information about the welfare support and advice available To develop and implement local policy from manifesto commitments for revenues, benefits, & debt, advising elected Members, and enacting policy change from Central Government To discuss the role in more detail please send your CV
