Project Manager – Regeneration (Economy)

Location: Predominantly remote, with attendance at key meetings and site visitsRate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)Start Date: ASAPDuration: 6 months

Venn Group are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major regeneration and development projects. Working within a wider Project Management and Regeneration team, the successful candidate will help drive forward the ‘Stronger Economy’ agenda by managing a varied portfolio of capital projects - including town centre and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-profile regeneration projects from concept to completion
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams across council services, consultants, EQUANS, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate delivery partners and maintain full project documentation and governance
  • Develop Stakeholder and Communications Plans to ensure clear and effective engagement
  • Monitor budgets, funding claims, procurement processes, and financial compliance
  • Support submission of planning and funding applications, as well as negotiations on land and tenancy issues
  • Produce and present reports for officer boards, members, and partner forums
  • Ensure all projects contribute to the Local Plan, Economic Strategy, and wider regeneration objectives

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering capital regeneration or development projects
  • Background in local government or large public sector organisations (desirable)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage project risk, finance, procurement, and reporting to a high standard
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in a related field
  • Project management qualification and/or significant experience
