Spray Painter

A1 Jobs are seeking a skilled spray-painter (joinery) to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess strong communication skills. As a Painter, you will be responsible for spray-painting, joinery products doors and to the highest quality standards, ensuring consistent finishes preparing surfaces and applying paint, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is an on-going temporary basis with an opportunity to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare timber, MDF, and other joinery components for spraying, including sanding, sealing, and priming.

Mix, match, and apply a variety of paints, lacquers, stains, and finishes using spray equipment.

Operate spray booths, compressors, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.

Ensure correct surface preparation

Conduct quality checks

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Carry out basic maintenance of spray equipment, ensuring tools are in good working order.

Work collaboratively with joiners and supervisors to meet production deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience:

Previous experience as a spray painter/finisher, preferably in a joinery, furniture, or woodworking environment.

Strong knowledge of spray techniques and finishing processes (lacquering, staining, painting, priming).

Ability to prepare surfaces to a high standard.

Understanding of different paint types, materials, and finishes.

Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality
