Titan are currently working with a very successful manufacturing company based in Dumbarton who are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team.


The purpose of the role is to support the Quality Engineer in all aspects of product quality, reducing risk of non-conformances. To support respective zone owners / team leaders in implementing sustainable solutions to quality problems.


Role responsibilities -

  • Support the Quality Engineer in all aspects of product quality
  • Perform inspection and tests in accordance with quality plans
  • Collaborate with zone owners / team leaders in implementing robust solutions to quality failures
  • Ensuring segregation of non-conforming material
  • Maintain effective front line support for manufacturing team
  • Perform inspection and test duties in accordance with quality plan
  • Provides timely and accurate documentation of such activities for inclusion within Quality Packs. Conducts in process inspection
  • Performs final product run test
  • Perform Goods In inspection, support Purchasing when non-conformances are identified
  • Support customer inspections as required
  • Maintains accurate records of inspection results
  • Raises non-conformances where deviations are identified
  • Ensure quality failures are contained
  • Work with zone owners / team leaders in investigations, clearly identifying at risk products and devising / implementing corrective actions
  • Identify product and process quality risks, implement immediate containment, root causes and preventive actions
  • Perform first pass review of non-conformance reports (PDRs), making initial recommendation on disposition
  • Supports calibration process

Requirements -

  • HNC or equivalent
  • Experience of working in quality role within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 essential (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 advantageous)
  • Computer literate
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and team working skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

The company offers a great working environment, working Monday to Friday (early 12:45pm finish on a Friday) and a salary of £34,340
