This is a brilliant opportunity to join my client, a respected, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in stunning Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to an exciting array of projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently searching for a talented, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a broad range of challenging projects. You will be working alongside a newly-established team of infrastructure design professionals, based near the scenic, family-friendly city of Dunfermline.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Contributing to a number of projects and developments, in a design capacity
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery and implementation
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development with the company
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
• Preparing and checking reports, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and other technical documents
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
• Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
• Hold Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE), or actively working to attain this
• Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK consultancy setting
• Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (particularly highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
• Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
• Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and others)
• Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
• Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
• Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
• Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
• Experience of leading projects/teams
• Experience of working in a public-facing role
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
