Three Bridges Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading manufacturing company, based in Fife, to recruit a Finance Assistant to take on a wide and varied role within a busy Finance department. The role will primarily be focused on Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger, however candidates with broad transactional finance will be strongly considered. Additionally, we are targeting candidates with a process improvement mindset as the team is continuously looking for ways to improve the service it provides to stakeholders.

Job

The role of Finance Assistant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Managing a shared company mailbox to provide excellent customer service
  • Weekly processing of invoices using a three-way match system
  • Preparing supplier payments and weekly payment runs
  • Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring accurate reflection in the ERP system
  • Processing employee expenses and general ledger postings
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice queries
  • Maintaining vendor records and reconciling supplier accounts
  • Clearing Return to Vendor against Goods Received Not Invoiced
  • Applying credit notes and undertaking general accounting duties
  • Conducting intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • Ensuring monthly reconciliations to maintain an effective controls environment
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable and Credit Control during peak times and absences
  • Contributing to the update of finance policies and procedures

You

As a Finance Assistant, you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following:

  • Wide and varied Finance experience, with a particular emphasis on Accounts Payable
  • Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics ERP, banking, and expenses systems (beneficial)
  • Proven ability to solve problems within a cross-functional team
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management to complete all tasks and reporting promptly
  • Attention to detail with accurate reporting skills
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications
