Reed are working exclusively with a fast-growing business with divisions in civil engineering and construction group. We are seeking a SHE Manager to play a crucial role in maintaining safety and compliance, ensuring the well-being of our teams and meeting client needs.
Day-to-day of the role:- Coordinate and manage Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance SHEQ management systems.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation.
- Provide support to project sites and assist site teams.
- Prepare documentation and liaise with clients to fulfil SHEQ requirements.
- Manage subcontractor evaluation and reviews.
- Work independently to meet deadlines and assist in bid/tender qualifications.
- Ensure compliance across sites in NI/ROI and take ownership of continual improvement across the business.
- Responsible for ensuring staff training for upcoming works.
- Perform additional duties as required to aid the continued success of the business.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management position.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ position.
- Essential construction experience.
- NEBOSH or equivalent Level 4 Safety Qualification.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and liaison skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with clients and subcontractors.
